The Cover Letter is a very useful tool to differentiate yourself from other candidates applying for the same position. It gives you the chance to introduce yourself in a memorable way, making the HR representative curious about your candidacy and therefore increasing the probability of an interview.
It includes information on how you learned about the position, a detailed and persuasive summary of your life achievements, filled with examples of your background, technical skills, as well as soft skills, which make you not only qualified for the position, but the best candidate available to be employed.
Cover Letter Revision
The revision of the Cover Letter will include two files, the finalised Cover Letter and a Word Document explaining the changes made and why they were made. It will entail a context-based revision, i.e. editing the summary of the Cover Letter, as well as a linguistics-based revision, which includes, but is not limited to, grammar, syntax, morphology etc.
